  • A high quality print of Harry Houdini’s “Buried Alive” poster. Houdini’s fascination with Ancient Egypt was well noted and can be seen in the design of this poster. (5″ x 7″)

Amazing set, all items having an a convincing air of history about them. Great imagining of the monstrous original appearance of the sphinx. 'Under the Pyramids' is a tremendous piece of writing. Curious how Lovecraft, in the 1920s, tapped into the idea that the sphinx is so much more ancient than pharaonic Egypt, and that the head was probably re-carved much later. This has been born out by more recent research.
